Another year over and what have we done?

I know a lot more than this has happened but these are the bits I remember most in my review of 2011!

EGYPT

A lot of people got very grumpy over in Egypt in January, mainly due to the fact its always above 30 degrees and the Egyptian lasagne is far too dry.

WEATHER

It all got a bit rumbly and blowy, but overall we got through it, again.

ROYAL WEDDING

We in Great Britain really like to show the rest of the world how superior we are, hence on the 29th of April we gave the world Pippa Middletons’ bottom. And lots of gold braid.

OSAMA BIN FOUND

On May 1st, the worlds biggest and most expensive game of hide and seek came to its conclusion when America found a bearded terrorist who made very poor video diaries.

RIOTS

Lots of angst as teenagers took to the streets of our cities to protest at the prices of the latest Air Max trainers.

WORLD ECONOMY

Greece struggled. This was due to the fact it exports nothing apart from Nana Mouskouri and er, olive oil. Also it thought allowing its citizens to fill in their own tax returns without question was a good idea, but most Greeks just put earnings `nil’

LIBYA

Libyans have a fondness for Toyota pickups but in October took the huff with their leader, so with the help of lots of other countries tracked the botoxed dictator down and killed him, filmed it on their HTC Wildfires and uploaded it to YouTube.

PROTESTS OUTSIDE St PAULS

Lots of people who dont pay tax protested about paying tax before rushing off to five star luxury every evening. I thought I`d happened upon a similar protest in Haslingden, turned out I was in the camping section of Winfields.

STRIKES

Public Sector workers went on strike to show anger at losing money, two years after we all lost pretty much exactly the same. The result was an early Christmas shopping expedition for them and lots of parents moaning about having to take time off to look after their kids.

EATS, SHOOTS and LEAVES

Two pandas went on the ultimate mystery tour dressed in Fed Ex hi-vis jackets only to end up in Scotland. Pandas we as humans, find extremely cute. However, pandas don`t look at themselves in the same light and as such will probably be extinct by the time you read this.
